in light of cynthia's numerous recent posts (and even if she had only made 2, that would still be numerous) i am making a livejournal post. maybe because i love livejournal and i miss it deeply. also maybe because i am procrastinating but it's now too late for me to actually do work and i'm not tired enough to sleep yet. and since i no longer see my livejournal as a place to post... my feelings, a rant, or really anything of importance at all i'm going to start off this "bringin it back" (i didn't know how else to say that, really) with a SURVEY. the epitome of lj posts. it's even one i did a couple years ago or something. now let's see if i remember how to do the lj cut-thingy.

Letter 1: Congrats on recieving a Georgetown Scholarship Program scholarship blahblah....actually we're gonna give you in total 39,010 dollars.

Letter 2: Congratulations. Princeton. We'll give you 34,000 dollars.

Um.............over 4 years...an extra 20,000 dollars in loans? SO WORTH IT.

so I guess I owe you $10, Neda.....but it's gonna be the best 10 I ever lost.

So I got this $30,000 per year scholarship from Washington University in St. Louis.
Definitely something to...think about.

That means I was..accepted? Right?

Yeah, on the phone with the Carolina Scholars guy just makes it sound so tempting cause he's like here's money and more money and oh yeah add some more money on top of that with your free laptop and it's just like eghh. And he didn't even mention the car my dad said he would buy me if I went to USC instead of driving around my go-cart. (next week i'm rocking the minivan cause we think there's definitely something wrong with the go-cart...it's like falling apart)

I guess USC isn't really out of the question anymore cause it's just so financially appealing. Instead of coming out like 80K in debt, yknow?

I like how they had to overnight Fedex the letter that says you're a Carolina Scholars Finalist but then it's just like "you'll recieve more information in a couple days."

When I opened it I was hoping it'd be like a confirmation of application receipt from Princeton or something. Damn.

I figured it was getting to be about time for a post...almost 2 weeks from the last one. I guess I've definitely changed pace from manic daily double posting. (Jeopardy shout-out!) Even though it's already second semester and everything, I don't really feel like...much less stressed...cause there's all this like IB stuff and I mean...we've still got school. It's not really important anymore, but I still don't want my grades to go to shit and even though it doesn't matter like everyone says, I still want to get my IB diploma, otherwise what the hell did I do all this work for? I'm kinda anxious about getting letters in April too, though I guess there's only one that actually matters because even if I get accepted other places I'm still definietly going to UChi. I still think it's kinda weird when people are always like wowza you got in to Georgetown, gonna go there? but I can't really even be like "maybe" cause I know I'm not. But the people who are all like wowza Georgetown haven't even heard of uchi. well, whatever. I don't know, now I'm even gonna be like the first person in my whole family to graduate from college, I guess that's kinda cool. It'd be pretty cool too doing it at like some big-name college...like I'm changing the traditions for the fuckedupedness down my family line. I guess I won't get into that.
Haha, my room is so messy that I don't even want to go into it so I've been sleeping in my brother's room for the past 3 weeks. I've also been watching a lot of Wild N'Out the past couple days. Good stuff.

I guess more stuff that I'm not posting here.

Survey says it was the best christmas break out of the four year I spent in high school, despite the volume of college applications the week before. Cause the week after made up for it and New Years was pretty fun, too. I still need to do a lot more scholarship applications though. Ehhhg, I'll do them.......tomorrow? Walmart, Best Buy, Elks Lodge, NIAF.....too many to apply for :-(. (Why must I be so po'?) I also need to proofread this thing for my ma's friend and it's going to take like 3 hours. I guess I'll do it uh..tomorrow too?

My sleep schedule is messed up, I sleep from like 4 am to 1 pm now. So I'm gonna be so tired at school tomorrow.

On another note...in two weeks our grades don't matter anymore!! :-D

I never talked about Christmas but it was good. We saw Narnia which I thought was pretty good, I liked the guy that played Peter. So did my mom. My parents got me a 20gb ipod that I'd been begging for for 4 months so THANKS MOM AND POP. Mom also got the first two seasons of Scrubs on DVD. And Samee and Bob got me LAWKI on dvd. And golz got me Thunderpants. I haven't had time to watch it all yet though. :-(

I am so not looking forward to school.
